What is a Virtual Bankruptcy Assistant?

A virtual bankruptcy assistant ("VBA") prepares Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 debtor bankruptcy petitions under the supervision of the bankruptcy attorney. HighQ Connect’s virtual bankruptcy assistants have been certified by the National Association of Virtual Bankruptcy Assistants and have over eight years of experience preparing debtor bankruptcy petitions.  Our VBAs carefully review the information provided by both the debtor and the attorney to ensure that the petition is properly prepared and that all information provided is complete and accurate.

HighQ Connect’s process has been streamlined to ease the burden on the bankruptcy attorney.  We provide customized, downloadable client intake forms that can be filled out by the debtor or the attorney and returned to us when completed. The attorney simply uploads the debtor’s completed intake form to our site so that the petition can be typed. Each intake form is carefully processed by our VBA, who then follows up with the debtor to obtain any missing information.  The VBA then prepares the bankruptcy petition and other documents for filing and returns them to the attorney in PDF format for review.  Once approved, the attorney can file the bankruptcy documents electronically via the court’s CM/ECF system.
